Reimagining a Wedding Skirt for Generations

At Manley Bride, I always tell every bride that the most incredible outfit of their life shouldn't be limited to just one day. I love brainstorming with them about how to keep their wedding outfit alive and well beyond the big day. And Karen’s story is a perfect example of what’s possible!

Karen was one of the coolest brides we’ve had the pleasure of working with. She came to us with a simple yet fabulous vision: a basic white tee and Converse sneakers. To complement her unique style, we crafted an extraordinary skirt adorned with handcrafted embellishments, Swarovski crystals, and beads. Not long after her wedding, Karen reached out with an amazing request: she wanted us to transform the train of her skirt into a christening gown for her first daughter, Erin. We not only created the gown but also shortened the original skirt to make it wearable for Karen. Fast forward two years, and Karen christened her second daughter, Maeve in the same christening gown while she wore her newly updated wedding skirt.

It’s a beautiful reminder of how one outfit can evolve and continue to hold special meaning. I think you'll agree—this is truly iconic!
