Emma studied Fashion and Textile Design at the Grafton Academy and then went on to hone her craft on both sides of the Atlantic, at luxury sportswear brand VPL in New York and later Alexander McQueen in London. Here Emma worked on some of McQueen’s most iconic collections.

Emma returned to Dublin in 2011 to set up her own label, Manley. Fusing her love and skill for tailoring, luxe sportswear and embellishment, the result is a label of contemporary separates and directional eveningwear with a confident femininity. In 2015, Emma extended Manley’s design portfolio to include Manley Jewellery and in 2016 expanded again to include bags.

Co-founder, Pestle & Mortar

Sonia Deasey

Sonia started her career in business by running the family shop in Newbridge, which specialised in branded goods. Managing the store with a staff of sixteen people at only twenty years of age gave Sonia the opportunity to develop an incredible work ethic.

Years later, as a busy mother of five, Sonia noticed a gap in the market for a simple, effective skincare routine she could rely on. She worked alongside her sisters and together they developed a formula following a less-is-more approach, favouring the natural look free from harsh chemicals.

Sonia named the business Pestle & Mortar as it reflects her own motivations, namely simplicity, natural solutions and a less-is-more philosophy.
